ARMOR
PLATE SYSTEMS for REPAIR AND REINFORCEMENT OF PIPELINES
Armor Plate is a compound material
approved by DOT, composed of three elements:
1) an epoxy resin that restores pipe
material loss by filling pittings and holes
2) a special fiberglass
3) an epoxy resin that is used to soak
fiberglass.
It is manually applied, cold applied, and in operation,
and can be applied on any pipeline geometry (including
bends, elbows, tees, etc.)
Armor
Plate System is used for Reinforcement and Repair of
Pipelines in:
Gas and Oil Pipelines
Gas and/or oil plants
Chemical Plants
Refineries
Running water and small house service pipelines.
Tests demonstrate that:
It restores strength to accessories such as elbows
and tees similarly as it does to straight pipelines.
It can be used to revalue a pipeline when it is used
to increase the strength of a certain pathway, so that
operating pressure can be increased.
Repairs can be carried out in pipelines with no need
to depressurize them, under any weather or environmental
condition, including off-shore or underwater repairs.
Advantages: Pittings in gas and oil
pipelines in operation can be repaired permanently and
at the same time they can provide anticorrosion protection
to stop such localized Corrosion to continue, with Armor
Plate System.
